This is a partial current listing of trademarks owned by Convedia. Failure
of a mark to appear on this page does not mean that Convedia does not
use the mark nor does it mean that the product is not actively marketed
or is not significant within its relevant market.
Those trademarks followed by ® are registered trademarks of Convedia
in the United States; all of the marks are trademarks of Convedia registered
in Canada or common law marks of Convedia.

Convedia "trademarks" include Convedia products and services,
as well as the Convedia logo and other designs owned and used by Convedia.
Convedia takes great care in the development and protection of its trademarks
and reserves all rights of ownership of its trademarks. It is Convedia
policy to enforce its trademark rights against any parties, with or without
permission, who do one or more of the following:
- Use a Convedia trademark in a manner that is likely to confuse the
public about the origin of products, services, materials, courses, or
programs.
- Use a mark confusingly similar to a Convedia trademark.
(considering, without limitation, visual, phonetic, and connotations
of the marks)
- Use a Convedia trademark in a way that is likely to dilute, defame,
disparage, or harm the reputation of Convedia.
- Use or misuse a Convedia trademark, including product names and logos,
in any unauthorized manner.
- Fail to comply with the Convedia “Trademark Usage Guidelines”
set forth in this website.
Convedia carefully limits the use of its logos. Business associates with
written agreements with Convedia are allowed to use Convedia’s logos
based on these trademark usage guidelines. No other party may use Convedia
logos unless it has the express written permission of Convedia.
Companies with appropriate permissions or agreements with Convedia can
find our logo (in a variety of graphic formats) in the Media
Resources area of this website.
"Fair use" of trademarks allows third parties to make reference
to Convedia product names. The following guidelines are published to ensure
proper use and reference to Convedia product names.
While fair use, under copyright laws, allows use of or reference to Convedia
product names, you must ensure that the usage be truthful, not disparaging
to Convedia, and not misleading to the public. You must be clear and accurate
as to the nature of the relationship between Convedia and your company
and its products or services. Convedia’s Trademark Usage Guidelines
apply to fair use.
Following are two common types of fair use:
- Use of Convedia product names by third parties is allowed by Convedia
without permission or license when specifically referring to Convedia
products.
Example: The Convedia® CMS-1000™ Media Server is an IP Media
Server.
- Use of Convedia product names by third parties is allowed by Convedia
without permission or license when indicating that an Convedia product
is compatible with another product or protocol.
Example: The Convedia® CMS-6000™ Media Server is compatible
with the SIP protocol.
Please note that the emphasis should be on your product name and any
accompanying packaging produced by your company. Labeling should place
emphasis on your product name so that it is perceived as an application,
developed with, compatible or running on a Convedia product.
Following are general rules for proper usage of product names and logos:
- The first use of each Convedia product name or logo mentioned in
communications must be identified as a Convedia trademark in a footnote
or attribution. The attribution must be located either on the page/screen
where the Convedia product name is used, or in the legal section of
the communication or site in which it is referenced. Please note that
laws concerning use of trademarks or product names vary by country.
Always consult a local attorney for additional guidance.
Example: Convedia, CMS-6000, and CMS-1000 are trademarks of Convedia
Corporation.
- The first reference in text to all Convedia trademarks should be preceded
by Convedia and followed by the proper trademark symbol. The proper
symbol for United States-registered product names and logos is ®.
The proper symbol for product names and logos which are the subject
of pending applications or are used in accordance with common law trademark
principles is TM.
Example: The Convedia® CMS-6000™ Media Server can handle carrier
class IP media packet processing.
- A trademark must be used as an adjective qualifying a noun that is
a generic description of the product or service. The product name should
also be used in a singular form.
Example: Two CMS-6000™ Media Servers will be available…
Incorrect example: Two CMS-6000s will be available…
- Do not change the form or representation of the product name, including
capitalization or punctuation.
Incorrect examples: cms-6000, CMS 6000
- Do not omit a footnote/attribution for Convedia trademarks.
- Do not alter the approved Convedia trademark.
- Do not create any new logo for Convedia or Convedia product names.
Use the versions provided by Convedia, without altering the size, font,
color or any other characteristic.
- Do not incorporate any Convedia product names into your company's
product names.
- Do not incorporate any Convedia product names or logos into the root
domain of any web site owned by your company.
- Do not use the Convedia taglines.
- Do not connect your company name with Convedia product names.
- Do not use the Convedia trademark name for a product or service as
a noun, or in the plural form.
- Do not misspell or incorrectly capitalize Convedia trademarks.
- Always include “Convedia” before the trademarked Convedia
name on the first usage.
