CommWorks Corporation creates new compatiblity program for IP Telephony vendors

MOUNT PROSPECT, IL – March 20, 2001 - CommWorks Corporation, a leading provider of carrier-class Internet protocol (IP) telephony equipment, today introduced its CommWorks® Compatible program for IP telephony vendors. The program showcases IP telephony vendor solutions that are technically compliant with the CommWorks architecture, the company’s flexible, open system for the delivery of enhanced voice and data services through dial, wireless, broadband and narrowband access.

Ten leading providers of hardware and software for the IP telephony market will participate in the first round of CommWorks Compatible testing, the company, a wholly owned subsidiary of 3Com Corporation (NASDAQ: COMS), announced today.
