The seven leading SIP vendors participating at the SIP Forum at Supercomm 2002 include Convedia, Hotsip, Lucent Technologies, Mitel Networks, Nortel Networks, Pingtel and RADVISION. The installation of the entire demo will be set up in less than a day, illustrating the speed and cost savings that can be expected when implementing a SIP based mobile and fixed converged network. All aspects of the maturing SIP networking technology are linked and demonstrated including desktop phones, proxy, registration, presence servers, platforms for both enterprise and carrier side infrastructure. In addition, a complete suite of standards-compliant tools for developing, testing and validating all types of SIP-based applications, essential for reliable network implementation will also be shown at the show. The super interoperability demo will effectively represent participants
as a standalone domain or operator linking to each other, as would be
the case in a real world environment. All phones throughout the booth
will be able to make and receive calls from any other phone within and
outside the booth linked to the internet/PSTN world through a media gateway.
