San Jose, California, April 3, 2003 - VON Spring
2003 - Convedia Corporation, a leading provider of open, standards-based
media processing platforms today announced that it has added support for
card level redundancy to its award winning CMS-6000 Media Server. With
the introduction of this key feature, service providers are able to, for
the first time, deploy IP Media Servers in their network that automatically
detect and recover from hardware failures without impacting calls that
are in progress.
"In our research, service providers, time and again, rate product reliability
as the top manufacturer selection criterion", said Kevin Mitchell, Infonetics
Researchs Directing Analyst - Service Provider Networks and Next
Gen Voice. "Hardware redundancy is an essential element of delivering
reliable products as service providers need to both meet customer SLAs
as well as perform live, in-service software upgrades. Convedia has demonstrated
a commitment to delivering what their customers desire by bringing card
level redundancy to the media server market."
