VANCOUVER, Canada – September 22, 2003 –
Convedia Corporation, the leading provider of carrier-class IP media processing
platforms, today announced that it has entered into a reseller agreement
with BayPackets, Inc., a provider of enhanced voice and data solutions
for wireless, wireline and cable operators. Under the terms of the agreement,
BayPackets will resell, market and support Convedia’s award winning
CMS-6000 and CMS-1000 media servers in conjunction with the BayPackets
Agility Network Services Platform (NSP) and Agility Network Applications,
a next-generation enhanced services platform and applications suite that
can be deployed as a service control point (SCP) or application server
in traditional and packet-based telecommunications networks.
The BayPackets/Convedia joint solution provides network
operators a flexible multi-services platform based on open standards and
can be used to deliver a wide range of new voice and data services easily
tailored to the needs of their business and consumer customers. These
